Run the 'Everest' of canals! Enter a challenging, scenic Pennines romp.
100km, 50km, Half Marathon or 10km.

You are incredible, of course, but have you got the physical and mental fitness to become one of our 100km Heroes and join the Wall of Fame that includes thirteen men and one women. Can you add your name? Maybe you're inspired by our first female finisher Sam Rosenberg in last years race?
Starting and finishing in Sowerby Bridge, the 100km route passes through rural Yorkshire before heading to the 'dark satanic mills' of Manchester, Lancashire then returning back in triumph or not.

JAMES TAYLOR: 9:38.55 (2025), SAM ROSENBERG: 12:48.28 (2025)

Already completed a marathon? Why not push yourself further and enter this 'point to point' 50km? A meaty canter along the 'Everest of Canals' Rochdale Canal towpath that starts in Ancoat's, Manchester and ends up at Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire. A brilliant challenge and great 'over-training' for your up-and-coming Marathons.
Feeling speedy? Beat the 50km Course Records!
GRANT JEANS: 3:26.53 (2024), LAURA BARDSLEY: 4:18.54 (2024)

Share in the Canalathon Running Festival atmosphere and run a hearty Half Marathon (21km) or a fast, flat 10km.
The runs take in the Yorkshire end of the Rochdale Canal.
The Half Marathon starts at The Summit, Todmorden with the 10km starting and finishing at Sowerby Cricket Club.

"Did my first 50k and can’t recommend this enough. The team was amazing and we had the perfect day! Extremely good VFM, tough but do-able. Can’t wait for 2026! Might even go for the 100km! Thanks for pulling this amazing event together." Dru
